Homestar Embodied Carbon Calculator (HECC) live webinar

The Homestar Embodied Carbon Calculator (HECC) is a free tool that assesses the cradle-to-cradle life cycle embodied carbon of homes with traditional constructions (e.g. timber/steel framed homes).

HECC is Excel based and easy to use. It was developed by BRANZ for NZGBC to make lifecycle embodied carbon assessments accessible to everyone.

Homestar V5 requires calculation of embodied carbon emissions at 8 Homestar or above.

This webinar explains the rationale for the HECC and how it fits in with NZGBC’s ratings tools, and provides a practical demonstration of how to use the tool.
